Our Favorite Gatlinburg Restaurants

Our Gatlinburg cabin rentals offer fully equipped kitchens and many have grills for cooking up your favorite steak or burger, but sometimes you just don’t want to cook.

Whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch or a nice dinner out, Gatlinburg is famous for some of the best restaurants to eat at. These restaurants have built a loyal customer base and are known for their delicious and unique food, and have really become a great destination spot for visitors coming to the Great Smoky Mountains.

At Alpine Mountain Chalets we like to provide our guests with the best of the best recommendations. So today, we’re sharing our favorite Gatlinburg restaurants for you to try out next time you’re in town!

The Old Mill Restaurant

The Old Mill Restaurant is a can’t-miss stop for any Smoky Mountain vacation. This amazing restaurant uses the mill’s freshly ground products to make its biscuits, grits, hushpuppies, pancakes, and other dishes since it is located right next to a historic gristmill that was constructed in 1830. This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and can get very busy so expect a wait. But the wait…is well worth it!  Salmon, Barbecue, Barbeque, Bass, Bbq, Chef, Cod

The Pancake Pantry

The Pancake Pantry, also known as the state of Tennessee’s very first pancake house opened its door in 1960 and has been a favorite Gatlinburg restaurant ever since. Guests are able to choose from 24 different kinds of gourmet pancake recipes. The Pancake Pantry is one of the region’s most celebrated destinations for pancakes. However, they like to keep old fashion and don’t accept debit or credit cards.

The Peddler

One of the most popular Gatlinburg restaurants with a view is The Peddler. Guests are able to see views of the little Pigeon River from their tables while enjoying delicious food. Their naturally aged steaks and their salad bar are definitely a fan favorite!

Cherokee Grill

Cherokee Grill is located in downtown Gatlinburg and has stunning views of the Parkway and the mountains. This restaurant is known as Gatlinburg’s premier steakhouse with soft lighting and a fireplace that provides warmth for guests during their meal. The menu includes mouth-watering steaks, fresh seafood, fried chicken, and more.  Our favorite menu item is the Blue Cheese sirloin, truly unlike any other!

Gatlinburg offers delicious and unique restaurants regardless of which meal you are looking to eat out. At Alpine Mountain Chalets, many of our cabin rentals are located conveniently close to these wonderful places.
