As much as we all love a getaway, it breaks our hearts a little bit each time when we have to leave our pups behind. With most hotels and lodging not allowing pets, it can often feel daunting to find a place to stay with your puppy, let alone places that are dog-friendly to visit while you’re there. Lucky for you, Alpine Mountain Chalets has options and suggestions for you and your pooch to get the vacation you deserve!
Pigeon Forge is known for its amazing family attractions. What people don’t know, though, is that Pigeon Forge also has a ton of dog-friendly attractions for the entire family, 4 legged and all! One of our favorites is Doggywood at Dollywood. When visiting Pigeon Forge, you certainly don’t want to miss a chance to visit Dollywood, and with Doggywood daily boarding, you can drop your pup off for babysitting while you romp about the park. Individual cottages are available for dogs that like a little more space and quiet.
Another great place to take your dog for a trip is to the Gatlinburg Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains. This is one of two authorized pet-friendly trails in the Smokies, and the 1.9-mile trail is enjoyable for both you and your pup! The views, the terrain, and the spring wildflowers will keep you both entertained the whole time.
If your pet needs to burn off some energy, Patriot Park in the heart of Pigeon Forge is the perfect dog park to play fetch, get some zoomies out, and enjoy the beautiful spring weather together.
After a long day romping around the town, you can come home to one of the dozens of pet-friendly Alpine Mountain Chalets cabins. Choice cabins like the Stardust or Mountain Bearadise provide sweeping views of the mountains, the coziness of home, and the accessibility for your pets that you need for the perfect Smokies getaway.
