Why The First Three Months of the Year Are Perfect For a Smoky Mountain Trip

When is the best time to plan a trip to Pigeon Forge Cabins? Any time of year, but for the sake of this list, let’s narrow it down to the first three months of the year.

Winterfest

Every year, with more than 5 million holiday lights, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg become a winter wonderland. The Smoky Mountain Winterfest Celebration has winter light displays, captivating holiday shows, and so much more for people of all ages to enjoy.  Visit the shining lights and so many more winter festivities at the city’s annual Winterfest celebration. The brightness of Winterfest shines from early November until February, so it’s perfect for enjoying during your early year vacation.

Fewer Crowds

By coming out early in the year, you’ll have fewer crowds on the hiking trails, making this the perfect opportunity to enjoy a romantic moment in the forest, just in time for Valentine’s Day! Sit on the porch of your cabin and enjoy the sounds of nature, knowing that just about everything you hear is genuinely unique to the forest.

Holidays

The first three months of the year is full of fun holidays, the perfect reason to come out and enjoy the forest for a few days.

A New Year is a great time to bring the family out, ring in the new year with the birds and bears! Next, we have Valentine’s Day, who wouldn’t love a romantic getaway? And of course President’s Day which usually gives us a three-day weekend.

Then comes March. While there aren’t any official Federal Holidays in March, there is plenty of fun to be had. We have Pi Day (3/14), St. Patricks Day, the first day of spring, and usually Spring Break. Surely we can all find something to celebrate, right?

Let’s face it. Any time is a good time to visit the Great Smoky Mountains. Find your perfect cabin here.
